From Cat Island He Came is a collection of stories through which King addresses, from a personal perspective, a broad range of social, economic and cultural issues. These issues were of great signifcance, not only in his life and that of Cat Island, but in the life of the wider colony. Viewed from this perspective, this book gives us an insight into the social history of both Cat Island and country as a whole.
