For African people, we have a long established history of fighting imperialist aggression and oppression.
On July 10th, 1973 The Bahamas became an independent nation as a consequence of the national liberation movement that had sweeped the world.
On this 46th year, we recognize the many steps made for national advancement. However, we know the struggle for total African liberation and unification continues. .
